Getting credentials
- Create or sign in to an account at Brevo.

- When VX Agent asks for authentication, provide the key in the
api-keyheader.
Keep the API key private. Do not paste it into the Swagger file, marketplace description, prompts, or chat messages.
How to use this API
Use this API to send transactional email, inspect delivery events, and manage authorized contacts.
A typical workflow is:
- Use
GET /contactsto search or review contacts with bounded pagination. - Use
GET /contacts/{identifier}to inspect one contact before making changes. - Use
POST /contactsto create or update a contact only after confirming the email address and attributes. - Use
PUT /contacts/{identifier}to update contact attributes, list membership, or blacklist status. - Use
POST /smtp/emailto send a transactional email with a verified sender, recipients, subject, and HTML or text content. - Use
GET /smtp/emailsto inspect transactional email events and delivery status. - Use
DELETE /contacts/{identifier}only after explicit confirmation of the exact contact and deletion.
Safety and usage notes
Sending email is an external side effect. Always confirm the sender, recipients, subject, content, attachments, consent, and scheduled time before sending. Contact changes may affect marketing lists and automated campaigns.
Do not expose API keys, contact data, unsubscribe status, private message content, or transactional logs. Respect consent, unsubscribe requirements, privacy laws, and anti-spam policies.
