| 401 / 40100 | Wrong login or API password | Copy both again from API Access. |
| 40200 / 40210 | Balance too low | Top up the account balance. |
| 40203 | Daily cost limit reached | Raise the limit under API Settings in the dashboard. |
| 40501 / 40503 | Invalid field or location | Use location_code from the locations list and a valid app_id. |
| 40601 / 40602 | Task handed / still in queue | Wait 30-60 seconds and fetch the same id again. |
| 40202 | Per-minute rate limit exceeded | Slow down and retry. |

Usage guide
Setup
- Credential: DataForSEO API login + API password as a basic-auth credential (see the authentication notes).
- Worth pinning: your market's
location_code(e.g.2840United States,2826United Kingdom) andlanguage_code(en), and your own app ids: the Google Play package name (com.example.appfromplay.google.com/store/apps/details?id=...) and the numeric App Store id (835599320fromapps.apple.com/.../id835599320).
Track an app's rank and reviews
- Look up codes once with
listGooglePlayLocations/listAppStoreLocations(free). - Every
create...Taskbody is an array of task objects; send one object per task, e.g.[{"keyword": "habit tracker", "location_code": 2840, "language_code": "en", "depth": 100}]. - Keyword ranking:
createGooglePlaySearchTask/createAppStoreSearchTask, thengetGooglePlaySearchResults/getAppStoreSearchResultswith the taskidto see which apps rank and where yours is. - Listing details:
createGooglePlayAppInfoTask/createAppStoreAppInfoTaskwithapp_id, thengetGooglePlayAppInfo/getAppStoreAppInfo(rating, reviews count, installs, price, version, description). - Reviews:

Good to know
- Tasks run asynchronously: a
get...call right after posting can return40601/40602(handed / in queue). Wait 30-60 seconds and fetch again with the same id; results stay available for 30 days. - Each posted task costs money (reviews are billed per 150 reviews of
depth; keepdepthmodest). Confirm with the user before posting a batch of tasks or a largedepth.priority: 2costs extra. - Check
status_codein the body and in each task: 20000 = ok, 20100 = task created. taglets you label a task (e.g. your app name) and comes back in the results.
